- What is web-checkin?

Web Check-in is a convenient way to check-in on the internet, which allows you to select
your preferred seat and print or email the e-Boarding pass.
- Why should I do web-checkin now? What are the benefits?

Passengers who have done web check-in can directly proceed towards the boarding gate with the printed boarding pass in case they do not have any check-in baggage. In case they have check-in baggage they may check-in their baggage at the baggage drop counters and then proceed to the boarding gate.
- Am I eligible for web-checkin

All passenger holding a valid and confirmed booking are eligible for web-check-in. Passengers can do web check-in anytime upto 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
- Why to do web-checkin on Cleartrip?

It’s the most convenient way to do web-checkin. On Cleartrip, you can simply finish your web check-in for any airline (starting with Indigo currently) with just one click instead of going to different airlines’ websites. Also, you can do it anytime after your ticket booking without waiting for the airline check-in window to open. No more missing out to web check-in at the last moment.
- Do I need to pay any extra fee for web-checkin on Cleartrip?

No. It’s a privilege for being a Cleartrip customer. This convenience comes to you completely free of cost. Even if you are booking a paid seat, Cleartrip will not charge you any convenience fee. You just pay the airline seat fee.
- What is express web check-in? How do you decide my seat?

Express web check-in allows you to finish your web check-in with just one click. Under this, we select the best free seat available in the flight keeping in mind parameters such as window/aisle/middle seat, reclining or non reclining seat or the row of the seat (front to back). Also, if more than 1 pax are travelling we try and select your seats together.
- What is check-in with seat selection?

Check-in with seat selection is for travellers who like to travel in premium seats or have explicit preference of seat . This option allows our travellers to select and pay for seat of their choice.
- Which airlines are supported for web-checkin on Cleartrip?

Currently we only support domestic sectors for Indigo, but soon we will be launching for all airlines across sectors.
- I booked a return trip. Will I be able to web-checkin?

We constantly upgrade our services based on your feedback. Web checkin on cleartrip is available on One Way Indigo bookings. Soon, it will be extended to round trip bookings on Indigo too.
- I got an invitation to web-checkin. What should I do next?

Simply, click on “Web Check-in” and proceed with the steps. In case you don’t have any seat preference, you can select the “Express Web Check-in” option and we will select the best available free seat for you.
- I got a web-checkin success mail. What should I do next?

In case of a success, you will also receive an email from the airline carrier with your boarding pass. We suggest you to take print out of that pass while travelling.
- Where can I see the seats assigned after submitting the request?

Once you have submitted your request to web-checkin, we will assign you the best available seat (or the one selected by you). The same information will be available on your Trips Detail page on Cleartrip website or the mobile app once we have the confirmation from the airline. It should take us upto 24 hours to show you this information. In some rare cases, it could also take longer but should be available 12 hours before your flight departure.
- What are the supported payment mode for seat selection on Cleartrip?

You will be able to pay through any Debit card, Credit card or Net Banking, in case you choose a premium/paid seat in seat selection flow.
- I have paid Cleartrip to choose a seat of my liking. Should I be sure that my seat is reserved for me?

nce you have selected a seat of your liking, you can sit back and relax. We will try our best to reserve that seat of your choice for you. But if under some circumstance we are unable to reserve the same for you our customer care executive will definitely call you with other available options.
- I got an email that my web-checkin failed. What should I do now?

If you have got this mail, then Cleartrip has been unable to check-in on your behalf. This can happen due to reasons such as issue with Airline’s web check-in service, Airline’s website or an issue at our end. In any case, Cleartrip will refund the entire amount paid to Cleartrip at the time of web check-in request. Cleartrip will refund the same within 10-12 business days.
- The trip says web-checkin is in progress. Why is it not completed yet?

Many airlines only allow users to web check-in only 48 hours prior to the flight. So sit back and relax, Cleartrip is on it and as soon as the web check-in window opens, we will check-in on your behalf and update you. Our team will attempt to Web Check-in on your behalf till 12 hours are left. Due to any unforeseen circumstances we are unable to confirm this, then we will either send you an email or our customer care executive will call you with other options or update.
- How can I cancel the web-checkin request that is still in progress?

Unfortunately, at current we don’t have the option to cancel a web check-in request. But in case you want to go ahead and do web check-in yourself you can always do the same on the airline’s website. While doing the web check-in from our end, if we see that you have already checked-in then we will not alter it.
Or else, in case you want to cancel your ticket you can request the same with Cleartrip or with the airline’s website. Cleartrip will be able to take the request in case the web check-in hasn’t been processed. Respective cancellation/reschedule charges will apply.
- What if I have already done web check-in with airline? Could I place a request again with Cleartrip?

No, in case you have already checked-in, Cleartrip won’t be able to alter your check-in.
- What if my web check-in has already been done, can I still cancel/reschedule my trip?

In case your web check-in has already been processed, you will have to go to airline’s website and undo the web check-in. Post that, you can come to cleartrip and cancel or amend your ticket. Respective cancellation/reschedule charges will apply.
- How can I cancel/modify my web-checkin request with Cleartrip?

If you want to cancel/modify your web check-in request, you can write to us or call our customer care. But Cleartrip will not be able to take this request once your seat selection/web check-in request has been processed.
- I placed the web check-in request with Cleartrip. Can I complete the check-in with airline directly. Will there be any conflict?

You can sit back and relax after you have let us know your desire to web-checkin. In case you need to, you can always complete the web checkin directly on airline site until we have already done so. While processing your request, if we notice that your web check-in or seat selection was already completed, we will not change/alter it.
- I have paid for the seat during check-in on Cleartrip. What happens to my payment when check-in fails?

Please be assured that once you have made a choice to reserve a seat, we will ensure you get the same. In extreme scenario when the seat is taken by someone else, we will call you and discuss the alternatives. If you do not like any of those choices, we will refund the money you paid us to choose the seat. In case of a refund, the amount will be reflected in your account (initial mode of payment) within 10-12 business days.
- After placing the check-in request, when should I expect the check-in to be completed?

You can expect the check in to be completed once the airline opens its web check-in window. In case of a failure, you will be informed of the same 12 hours before the scheduled flight.
