Emirates Airlines Baggage Allowance

The airline follows a weight or piece system. The checked-in baggage allowance in the weight system for Economy fares: Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus - 20,25,30,35 kg respectively. Premium Economy - 35 kg, Business - 40 kg and First class - 50 kg. The checked-in baggage in the piece system for Economy Special - one piece of 23 kg and Saver, Flex and Flex Plus - two pieces of 23 kg. Premium Economy - two pieces of 23 kg, Business - two pieces of 32 kg and First - two pieces of 32 kg.

Emirates Airlines Check-in and Boarding Pass

Passengers can check in online to save time at the airport. Online check-in is available 48 hours ahead of the scheduled flight. When you check in online you can select your seats and meals and change to any upgrade options. At the airport, passengers can drop off their bags at the self-check-in kiosks or the counter. For airport check-in, passengers need to arrive 3 hours before the flight departure and for some airports, it is six hours. Passengers should check the best time to arrive at the airport. Passengers can also check in using the Emirates app and store and download the boarding pass.

The in-flight entertainment system offers over 5000 channels in multiple languages. Passengers can entertain themselves by watching movies, and TV shows and playing games or listening to music. Choose from the different data plans to stay connected on the flight. Passengers can pre-book multi-regional meals, kid’s meals and baby food and special meals can be booked 24 hours ahead of Emirates flight departure.

Emirates Airlines Frequent Flyer Program: Emirates Skywards

The frequent flyer program ‘Emirates Skywards’ allows passengers to earn miles on all Emirates and Flydubai flights. Skywards miles and Tier miles can be earned and passengers can add, gift or buy miles. Miles can also be earned with the airline’s partner worldwide by travelling, spending or dining. The different Tier statuses are Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum. As the Tier miles build up passengers can get a higher level of privileges.   

Emirates Airlines Onboard Support

The airline offers assistance to passengers with special needs like expectant mothers, unaccompanied children, passengers travelling with infants and passengers travelling with pet animals. Emirates flight bookings can be cancelled through the emirates.com website under ‘Manage My Booking’. For a refund, a credit note (EMD) will be sent to your email address. The Credit note is valid for 1 year and can also be refunded.
